Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent to join our team as a Senior Manager, Technical Operations & Risk Communications. This will be a hybrid role sitting out of our New Brunswick, NJ office.
Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Technical Operations & Risk (TO&R) Communications leads the development and execution of communications strategies that engage and educate internal and external audiences about Johnson & Johnson’s relentless dedication to driving operational excellence, groundbreaking new capabilities, mitigating risks, and upholding an uninterrupted and compliant flow of products for customers and patients around the world.
The individual will serve as a key advisor and communications partner to the Global Head of Supply Chain Services and to members of the Global Supply Chain Services (GSCS) leadership team. The individual will play a central role in enterprise risk communications, supporting responses and communication plans for evolving and/ or ongoing business-critical issues, while working in close collaboration with a global network of communications teams and business partners. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for engaging and inspiring GSCS employees through internal initiatives and organizational communications, with a focus on analytics and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Internal and External Thought Leadership:
+ Develop stories that demonstrate J&J’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and risk mitigation, while elevating the reputation of GSCS across relevant sector and enterprise functions.
+ Engage and educate partners about Johnson & Johnson’s dedication to quality, safety, and reliability in support of our Company’s purpose to change the trajectory of human health.
+ Develop and deliver communications to amplify J&J’s role in critical initiatives such as Gartner Top 25 in Supply Chain Ranking and the World Economic Forum Lighthouse recognition.
Risk Communications:
+ Serve as a global leader for risk communications to inform internal and external partners about business continuity during evolving issues, including geopolitical developments and natural disasters. Contribute to company-wide Crisis Management Team.
+ Work in collaboration with business leaders to identify and stay abreast of issues, while partnering with sector, supply chain, and employee communications teams to ensure an aligned approach and response.
+ Lead a robust risk communications playbook and educate key global teams on processes and procedures.
Organizational Communication / Executive Communications Support:
+ Serve as day-to-day strategic communications counselor to the Global Head of Supply Chain Services; serve as an extended member of the GSCS Leadership Team.
+ Support integrated employee communication activities across the GSCS function, including leading town hall meetings, senior leader dialogues, organizational announcements and initiatives aimed at driving a positive team culture.
+ Ensure alignment and pull through of GSCS messaging and positioning across the teams within the GSCS organization: Global Transportation & Trade Operations, Global Trade Controls, Global Enterprise Contract Management, and Supply Chain Excellence.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Proven performer with 8+ years of experience managing communication in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency
+ Consistent track record of successful public relations/communications, corporate communication, product communication, public affairs, and/or media relations achievements
+ Problem-solving skills to develop strategies and actions; high degree of independent judgment
+ Strong leadership presence, including experience providing support and guidance to senior leaders
+ Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously, often involving sophisticated and quickly evolving topics
+ Creative thinking to look beyond traditional approaches and devise innovative ways to communicate
+ Experience working in a matrix environment, balancing multiple collaborators simultaneously and driving results through influence
+ Outstanding writing and communication skills. The ability to understand target audiences and translate complexconcepts into clear and concise messages
+ Experience managing, leading, and implementing projects

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The base pay range is $120,000 to $207,000 USD.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
