Job Description:
Overview
We are recruiting for a Team Lead - Cloud Engineering (MES - Opcenter) located in Raritan, NJ. Consideration given to candidates near other J&J locations in the US on a case by case basis.
We are seeking an experienced team leader to coordinate and lead our multinational technical resources for the Siemens Opcenter platform hosted in the cloud. This strategic role involves guiding cloud migration initiatives, implementing Azure solutions, and driving cloud excellence across our global teams. Major Duties & Responsibilities
+ Partner with infrastructure engineering and development teams to identify and implement efficient Azure-based solutions.
+ Lead the migration of on-premises applications into Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and improved performance.
+ Define, document, and enforce best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
+ Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to build cloud competencies within development teams.
+ Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability while maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
+ Manage cloud environments following company security policies and standards.
+ Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle for Azure solutions, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance.
+ Triage incidents, perform root cause analysis, resolve issues, and implement preventive measures.
+ Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud environments using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
+ Implement and coordinate security, recovery, and high-availability strategies for AKS and other Azure services.
Technical Skills & Experience
+ Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Atlantis, and other cloud-native tools.
+ Experience with Argo CD, Jenkins pipelines, and GitOps for automation and CI/CD workflows.
+ Expertise in Kubernetes deployment in AKS, including Helm chart management, application configuration, and optimization.
+ Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure services: AKS, storage accounts, private endpoints, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Key Vault, etc.
+ Knowledge of Azure high-availability strategies and Kubernetes application deployment methodologies.
+ Skilled in scripting and automation using Docker, az CLI, kubectl, PowerShell.
+ Dashboarding, monitoring, and alerting expertise in Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
+ Programming concepts with proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, .NET, and object-oriented principles.
+ Understanding of web services, APIs (REST, RPC), and DevOps standard methodologies.
+ Familiarity with hybrid cloud infrastructure, VPN, API connectivity, AD Connect.
+ Experience supporting GxP systems and FDA-regulated environments, including validation processes.
Qualifications
+ BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
+ 5 + years of relevant experience leading technical teams in the infrastructure and environment arena.
+ Hands on experience with AKS and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
+ Strong background supporting FDA-regulated systems and GxP compliance.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps.
+ Extensive experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying cloud solutions.
+ Knowledge of web services, APIs, and RESTful platforms.
+ Proven track record to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and developers.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
+ Experience with VMWare, VSphere, vSAN, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
+ Experience working in 24x7 operational support environments.
+ Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
+ Experience working on Siemens Opcenter (MES) preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$91,000 to $147,200
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
