    The Lake Shore Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

    Physical Education Teacher

     

    Certification: Physical Education. Preferred candidates will also have certification in Health Education, but it is not a requirement.

     

    Salary: Per LSCTA Contract

    Additional Job Information

    The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of the New York State Physical Education curriculum and must possess valid New York State certification in this subject. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate teaching skills appropriate to the secondary and elementary levels. The teacher employed in this position will direct instruction, prepare class materials, evaluate student progress, communicate with parents and other district employees, write and direct learning activities, and provide other supervision and instructional services normally associated with the position of teacher. Candidate must also possess good computer skills. Physical Education teachers will be required to coach a minimum of one interscholastic athletic team during twelve of their first twenty school years of employment with the District per the LSCTA contract.
