COOK MANAGER

10-MONTH POSITION - 7.75 hours/day

STARTING SALARY: PER CSEA CONTRACT - Minimum Hiring Rate$18.50/HOUR

Description/Qualifications:

+ Supervises and participates in the preparation of serving food;

+ Supervise the storage and care of food and supplies;

+ Supervises and participates in the cleaning of the kitchen, serving, storage and dining areas, and the care of equipment;

+ Keeps records on food and supplies received and used;

+ Keeps employee time records;

+ Plans work schedules;

+ Prepares daily reports and maintains records as required by NYS and Federal Agencies;

+ Other related duties as assigned.

Must meet Civil Service Requirements

Must meet Civil Service Requirements. Good knowledge of approved methods of food preparation, knowledge of nutritional values of food; ability to keep records and submit reports; gets along well with children and adults; ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions; resourceful; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
