    About the team:

    TheBar.com is Diageo’s owned direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform in the US, first launched in 2021. Initially introduced as a curated marketplace for barware, limited-edition and rare spirits, and freshly batched cocktail kits, it has since grown into a vital component of Diageo’s digital strategy. The focus now is on establishing key growth drivers, delivering a personalized digital experience, and integrating TheBar.com more deeply into Diageo’s broader business to enhance brand engagement and consumer insights.

    About the role:

    We are seeking a highly capable and driven eCommerce professional to support the strategy and operations of TheBar.com in North America. In this role, you will play a critical part in helping to deliver the platform's growth roadmap, collaborating across marketing, product, and merchandising to help grow revenue, expand our consumer database, and increase brand discovery. You will report to a Director and work alongside internal and external teams to ensure aligned and efficient execution.

     

    As Manager of TheBar.com (North America), you will support business planning, performance tracking, partner coordination, and innovation testing. You will manage a small team of contractors and collaborate cross-functionally with Diageo’s global and regional teams.     Role Responsibilities:

    + -Business Execution: Support the delivery of TheBar.com’s strategic roadmap and commercial priorities. Help plan and implement initiatives aligned with revenue growth, brand engagement, and first-party data acquisition.

    + -Commercial Performance: Help identify and implement tactics to improve sales, conversion, site experience, and operational efficiency. Monitor KPIs and provide insights that support decision-making.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Digital, and Global teams to ensure day-to-day alignment and integrated execution.

    + Partner & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external agencies and vendors (e.g., fulfillment, marketing, tech partners) to deliver seamless operations and campaigns.

    + Performance Tracking & Reporting: Partner with Finance and internal stakeholders to monitor business results, support budgeting, and track key performance metrics.

    + Test & Learn Contribute to an agile, test-and-learn culture by supporting pilots, documenting results, and identifying ways to scale successful tactics.

    + Team Oversight: Manage and support the workstreams of 2–3 contractors and coordinate efforts across shared agency and Diageo resources.

    **Experience/skills required** :

    + 5–7 years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or online business operations, ideally within alcohol, beverage, CPG, or luxury industries.

    + Familiarity with DTC platforms (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo, CRM tools) is preferred; comfort working with digital tools and collaborating with technical teams.

    + Experience managing projects and working cross-functionally in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.

    + Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.

    + Experience managing or working with contractors or external vendors is a plus.

    + Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

    + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
