    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team in St. Helens. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a smooth-running therapy environment.

     

    + Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises

    + Transport patients to and from treatment areas safely

    + Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization

    + Sanitize and set up therapy equipment before and after patient use

    + Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records

    + Handle basic administrative tasks including answering phones and filing

    + Monitor and maintain inventory of therapy supplies

    + Assist with patient documentation in electronic health records

    + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Current CPR and First Aid certifications

    + Basic understanding of physical therapy procedures and medical terminology

    + Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols

    + Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements

    + Experience with electronic health records systems preferred

    + Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology

    + Strong organizational and time management skills

    + Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

    + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

    + Physical ability to assist patients and handle therapy equipment

    + Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required

    Additional Information

    Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 hourly
