    Job Description

    + Provide a variety of physical therapy techniques which follow the Clinic Manager’s plan of care for the patients including: therapeutic exercise, functional training, deep soft tissue massage, and physical modalities such as electrotherapy and ultrasound.

    + Assist the CM and physical therapists by working with individuals to prevent loss of mobility by implementing fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active life styles.

    + Educate patients on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility. Instruct patients and their family members what to do at home after treatment.

    + Evaluate the capability of patients to function independently. Observe patients, record strength and muscle performance, and write progress notes.

    + Implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

    + Assist the physical therapists in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.

    + Help patients with equipment and devices such as walkers, braces or prostheses.

    + Consistently stay proactive about remaining current on PT techniques/modalities.

    + Enter appropriate and required documentation/notes regarding treatment/progress of patients into the EMR system in a timely manner.

    Qualifications

    + PTAs must graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program and have a State of Oregon licensure

    + Ortho background preferred; manual therapy experience is an asset

    + Experience in working in an out-patient clinic is preferred

    + Solid understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and exercise is required

    Additional Information

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $27.00-$30.00 an hour. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
