Responsible for the accurate enrollment and billing process. Maintains related documents, updates corresponding records and responsible for enrollment and billing queries. Collaborates with the billing service function to support electronic and technical operations. Handles complex enrollment or billing issues and reports to the manager with the relevant updates.
Principal Accountabilities:
+ Corresponds with customers or patients to resolve billing issues and queries.
+ Updates and maintains daily billing and invoice records and documentation.
+ Interacts with customers or patients to respond to specific requirements.
+ Collaborates with other departments and performs assigned administration related duties and responsibilities.
+ Evaluates, analyzes, and verifies dates of service and billed amounts.
+ Verifies completeness and accuracy in client information before billing period.
+ Resolves all accounts within the give time frame.
+ Maintains records and updates unbilled reconciliation daily.
+ Obtains prior authorizations or referrals for appointments, surgical procedures, and diagnostic imaging studies.
+ Communicates with providers to ensure chart notes support proposed procedure, imaging study to CPT codes.
+ Obtain workmen’s compensation and/or auto-PIP authorizations
+ Assist providers with Peer-to-Peer appeals process.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ 1-3 years of experience in Billing or relevant area.
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience obtaining insurance prior authorizations-referrals
+ Strong communication skills
+ Travel to Rockaway location as needed
+ Hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; Monday to Friday
Preferred:
+ Experience in a Health Care facility, Hospital System or relevant area.
