We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Platform Product Manager- Data Products to drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of core platform capabilities that enable scalable, secure, and efficient product development across the organization. You will work at the intersection of engineering and business teams to create powerful platform solutions that accelerate innovation and improve associate and customer experiences using the power of data.

Role Overview
As a Senior Product Manager on the Data Product team, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of key data products that drive retail growth and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders — including data engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams — to define product roadmaps and deliver scalable, user-centric data solutions. You possess a deep understanding of retail, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable navigating both business and technical complexities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Define and communicate the vision and roadmap for data products that support marketing, merchandising, fulfillment, operations, and customer experience teams.
+ Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management — from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery and iteration.
+ Partner with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to translate business needs into scalable, high-performance data products.
+ Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, technical feasibility, and business value.
+ Serve as the voice of the customer and a subject matter expert on retail data usage and challenges.
+ Collaborate with technology teams to understand and effectively leverage data infrastructure.
+ Monitor product performance and user adoption; analyze feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
+ Stay current on retail trends, data technologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on data products or analytics platforms.
+ Deep understanding of the retail domain — including merchandising, supply chain, customer insights, or marketing.
+ Proven track record of successfully launching data products used by internal business teams.
+ Hands-on experience working alongside data engineers, data scientists, or analytics teams.
+ Strong technical acumen — familiarity with data architectures, ETL pipelines, BI tools, and analytics platforms.
+ Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for business stakeholders and vice versa.
+ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with Agile methodologies and product discovery techniques.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

Sunnyvale, California US-11349:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product management or related experience at a technology and data-driven company focused on building products with new and emerging technologies.
Option 2: 7 years’ experience in product management or related experience at a technology and data-driven company focused on building products with new and emerging technologies.

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related area and 4 years’ experience in back-end platform or highly complex B2B/C products or experience in roles requiring data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel, SQL, or statistics), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
