    Position Summary...

     

    The Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Financial Services Compliance will help support financial service crimes compliance in the domain of risk coverage assessments and support model risk management activities. This includes leveraging data analysis techniques for building out product, country, and market risk coverage assessments and testing and validation of the entity resolution and transaction monitoring model output by developing effective scalable strategies, applying statistical analysis, using data analytics tools and technologies, all while working in an environment of continuous improvement and model optimization.

    The **Senior Manager, Data Analytics -** **_Financial Services Compliance_** will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Risk, and IT to ensure alignment and support for entity resolution and transaction monitoring initiatives, support statistical modeling and analysis by processing large amounts of data, present findings through data visualization tools, and work with third party providers or internal teams to oversee champion and challenger model comparison testing and tuning efforts and memorializing model selection rationales and supporting metrics and truth sets. The **Senior Manager** will provide analysis on model output, support the ongoing end user feedback process, and ensure model documentation is maintained and updated as required.

     

    + Collaborate cross functionally with end user groups to understand use cases and convert end user feedback into usable model training data.

    + Procure and merge data from different relational databases to perform comparative testing of BSA models.

    + Research and analyze data subsets for root cause analysis andinterpretability or to create hypotheses for larger scale data analysis and model optimization.

    + Perform ongoing monitoring of all active anti-financial crime models to review performance and escalate concerns.

    + Create statistically representative samples and perform analysis through Above the Line and Below the Line testing to ensure that models are effective and functioning properly.

    + Research and recommend new detection, interdiction, forecasting, and other model approaches through analysis efforts.

    + Develop and recommend model changes to monitor and address new financial crime typologies and emerging risks.

    + Maintain a coverage assessment to ensure red flags/typologies are addressed through monitoring efforts or other appropriate controls.

    + Maintain entity resolution model documentation including all sub-models, versioning, testing/tuning results, truth set data, labeled data, and approvals.

    + Leverage advanced data analytics techniques and tools, including name similarity matching, classification accuracy testing, unsupervised/supervised machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic matching, decision trees, etc.

    What you’ll bring…

    + Prior experience with entity resolution/KYC models and transaction monitoring engines.

    + Experience using Featurespace and/or Quantexa system applications.

    + Strong knowledge of mathematics or a numerate discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering).

    + Proven ability to code using Google Cloud, SQL. Python. Experience producing reporting or analytics that leverage modeling techniques, entity resolution, network analysis, or other sophisticated approaches.

    + Experience applying practical machine learning algorithms to real-world data.

    + Experience analyzing, testing and/or validating BSA/AML and/or Consumer Fraud models. Familiarity with implementing, testing, or evaluating the performance of financial crime and compliance systems.

    + Proven track record of strong quantitative testing and statistical analysis techniques as it pertains to BSA/AML models, including name similarity matching, classification accuracy testing, unsupervised/supervised machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic matching, decision trees, etc.

    + Strong knowledge of model risk management and associated regulatory requirements.

    + You are bilingual (preferably English & Spanish) and have experience supporting international markets - particularly Latin America.

    + Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI; experience with data wrangling techniques, such as cleaning, transforming, and merging data from multiple sources; experience with libraries such as Pandas.

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

    + Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly.

    + Experience in data management, data quality, data cleaning, data normalization and statistics.

    + The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.

    The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
