    Assistant Manager-Hospitality Support

    Position Overview

    Shaw Industries is seeking a Hospitality Support Assistant Manager to play a vital role in leading a team of five Hospitality Support Representatives (S03) while delivering exceptional hospitality support to one specific Division. This position is designed to offer guidance and direction to the Hospitality Support Representatives as they assist Hospitality Sales Account Managers. The primary objective is to empower these representatives through comprehensive training, ongoing support, and the cultivation of robust relationships with Account Managers (AMs) and Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), ensuring that we consistently exceed their expectations for support. Additionally, this role will be responsible for analyzing and communicating our monthly performance reports, fostering transparency and strategic alignment with our RVPs. To maintain alignment with the evolving expectations of Hospitality Sales and the dynamic market landscape, the Assistant Manager will also provide dedicated hospitality support for one Division. The aim of the Hospitality Support Representatives is to deliver outstanding support throughout the entire process, both before and after the Account Manager has submitted the purchase order, including custom and running line orders. This position is crucial in enhancing the associate experience for Account Managers and significantly improving the customer experience for purchasers.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and develop a highly skilled team of Hospitality Sales Support Reps.

    + Coordinate and execute training for all new hires.

    + Monitoring Hospitality Support Rep performance.

    + Supervise ongoing daily tasks of the Hospitality Sales Support team.

    + Supervise associates to ensure that the functions in the department are completed efficiently and effectively.

    + Effectively communicate corporate policies and procedures.

    + Stay informed and up to date on all new changes and communicate the changes to the team.

    + Develop and execute projects for the team.

    + Administer and/or assist with pilot trials of new process improvement initiatives.

    + Increase the effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new practices to increase department efficiency.

    + Provide support and coaching for all team members.

    + Model Shaw’s core values and principles continually reinforce them in a virtual environment.

    + Develop and incorporate a positive performance experience by meeting regularly to provide recognition and feedback, answer questions, etc.

    + Represent the department (meetings/relationships) and ensure that the sales support goals are met.

    + Interpret information to detect trends and cause-effect details to share with leadership.

    + Immediately react and problem solve when issues arise and always maintain a positive and helpful approach to the situation by generating and evaluating options.

    + Perform/assist in all duties of the Hospitality Support Rep.

    Position Requirements

    + High school diploma/GED required

    + 2 + years of customer service experience required

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to translate your skills to other employees through training and mentoring

    Preferred Requirements

    + Associate degree or higher preferred

    + 1+ years of Sales Support experience preferred

    + Experience in the commercial sector

    + Experience in hospitality

    + Experience leading a team and/or process
