INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER AND PROGRAM MANAGER, Media Lab – Center for Constructive Communication, will design, plan and execute the programmatic and educational activities of realtalk@MIT including design of engaging, high-quality learning experiences to support student and staff growth and participation as well as design and run projects end-to-end—from conception to delivery and impact assessment; identify how the realtalk@MIT program’s learning objectives will be implemented in the MIT community; lead trainings and workshops for the MIT community; and provide overall project management and support for the realtalk@MIT program. This role is split equally between project management and instructional design. Realtalk@MIT is a new dialogue program that brings together human conversation with digital technologies to help the MIT community build the skills needed for constructive communication.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years of experience in Instructional Design, Education, and Project Management, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, or related fields; proven experience managing end-to-end projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery; demonstrated success in stakeholder communication and managing cross-functional teams; experience leading workshops, trainings, or webinars, adapting to varied participant needs; exceptional interpersonal, organizational, time management, and program management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to create and share deliverable instructions clearly and concisely; ability to be flexible and multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment, and self-motivated, well-organized, and attentive to detail. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, Project Management, or related field; familiarity with instructional design models like ADDIE or SAM, and creating accessible content for diverse audiences; instructional design-related certificate; certifications in relevant software or tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite); and interest in working with researchers to translate research out of the lab and into the field. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension based on the course of research and funding.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days a week, or as needed, required onsite in Cambridge, MA.
