Job Summary
The Clinical Research Financial Analyst plays a critical role in managing the financial aspects of clinical research after a study has been initiated. This position is responsible for monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines, and providing financial reporting and analysis to support research operations. Key duties include reconciling accounts, processing payments, tracking milestones and invoicing, and collaborating with study teams to resolve financial discrepancies. The analyst also supports audits, prepares financial forecasts, and contributes to the overall financial health and transparency of the clinical trials portfolio.
This is a hybrid position. We are accepting candidates from the Charlotte or Winston-Salem NC areas.

Responsibilities
+ Assists the clinical research leaders in all aspects of the research finance. Prepares financial reports, as directed by the leader. Creates and maintains research related spreadsheets and databases. Prepares statements and invoices based on services rendered; maintains accounts receivable by processing clinical trial payments and accounts payable reports; invoice matching, data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
+ Works with study coordinators, Regulatory team members, leaders and finance to reconcile any discrepancies in data entered into the CTMS and EPIC. Prepares statements and invoices based on services rendered every month; maintains accounts receivable by processing sponsor payments and accounts payable reports; invoice matching, data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
+ Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
+ Perform and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Qualifications
+ Education: High School or GED, required.
+ Experience: Entry level or anyone starting with less than 3 years of direct experience, required.
+ Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
+ Excellent customer service skills required.
+ Must be self-motivated, able to work independently without constant supervision and a criticalthinker.
+ Must be flexible, able to meet deadlines and adaptable to change.
+ Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
+ Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): Clinical Research administration experience preferred. Experience with budget preparation, business planning, and trend analysis. Experience in financial analysis and reporting on specified quantitative and qualitative data. Patient based billing experience preferred. Apply a critical thinking process to achieve a positive outcome.
