    Hourly Rate: $23.97 an hour

     

    You are located at the ConAgra Foods plant in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Equipment Operator/Owner works with other employees as a team for all areas of the plant. You will operate and maintain equipment. The Equipment Operator/Owner will rotate among the different areas in the process area on a regular and frequent basis. The equipment owner starts up and operating automated production equipment and monitoring the efficiency, quality, and safety of production processes. You will report to and is assigned to a scheduled crew. You will report to the Team Leader. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs location. Starting rate $23.97, attendance incentive of $0.50 for first shift, $0.60 for 2nd shift.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    _Production, Quality & Sanitation_

    + Coordinate and ensure production equipment is ready for production runs and batches

    + Prepare and weigh dry and liquid ingredients by reading and following recipes in English using SAP

    + Perform responsibilities into the SAP system

    + Coordinate end of production run responsibilities

    + Perform daily safety and quality checks and audits in English of equipment and personnel

    + React to equipment conditions that force a cleaning situation

    + Assist other crew members in staging for upcoming runs/batches and the oncoming crews

    + Work with sanitation chemicals following sanitation SOPs.

    + Clean and sanitize production equipment and areas promptly

    + Make necessary preparations for the next cleaning/maintenance phase

    + Monitor/control equipment, ensuring all quality attributes are met; inspect for deviations while reacting to same; and maintain accurate documentation

    _Maintenance_

    + Checks parts out of and returns to stockroom using SAP to ensure stockroom inventory accountability

    + Perform maintenance on equipment and enter information into SAP in English

    + Coordinate and partner with other employees to solve mechanical issues

    + Perform daily safety check of the assigned Forklift following company policy

    _Administrative_

    + Use methodologies to identify and prevent potential problems and implement improvements

    + Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and other technical documentation in English

    _Leadership_

    + Support integration of new methods or technology being installed

    + Assist and lead with testing, trials and new product programs.

    + Maintain other employees on quality standards, maintenance issues, safety improvements and area improvements

    Skills Required:

    + At a minimum, two-three (2-3) years documented work experience in a manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or equivalent.

    + Demonstrate the ability to comprehend English as it relates to job tasks

    + Plan, organize, and schedule work independently

    + Knowledge of GMP's, safety standards and food allergens and demonstrated ability to react and communicate effectively to issues

    + Basic knowledge of mechanical processes

    + Operate and perform tasks on a personal computer, programs and data entry

    + Communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external team members and to train others

    + Read and use instrumentation (temperature, pressure)

    + Use tools including, hand, and powered

    + Be LOTO certified and forklift certified

    + work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens

    + Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position

    Physical Demands:

    + You will work in a manufacturing environment. You can work in areas that are hot or cold, surfaces may be slippery, climb ladders/stairs, or work in tight quarters

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and focus

    + The work environment is a production facility with moderate noise levels
