• Electrical Technician I

    Canon USA & Affiliates (Houston, TX)


    Overview

     

    Under general supervision the Electrical Technician I is responsible for electricaltroubleshooting and diagnostics.

    Responsibilities

    + Installs and replaces lightbulbs

    + Perform breaker resets, ballast and electrical wiring

    + Inspects and maintains primary service installations and power distribution systems

    + Follows basic electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout procedure

    + Completes work orders and paperwork related to job tasks

    + Performs duties in accordance with departmental and regulatory safety procedures and standards

    Qualifications

    + HS Diploma or equivlant, Journeyman Elctrician certification is highly preferred

    + Knowledge of predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions

    + Knowledge of electrical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

    + Proficient computer skills are required. AutoCAD experience a plus

    + 0-5 years experience performing basic electrical repair and installation

    + Ability to properly use of hand and power tools

    + Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, install lighting

    + Ability to prepare, install nd connect electrical wiring

    Physical Demands

    + Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding

    + Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required

    + Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
