    Job Description:

    + The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support **structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules** using **liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry** .

    + The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Protein Open-Access **LC/MS platform and collaborating on mass spectrometry-based protein characterization** efforts and biological assay development.

    + The selected candidate should have familiarity **with liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry instrumentation,** and excellent sample preparation skills. Knowledge of laboratory automation is desired but not required.

    + The scientist will be expected to consistently work on multiple projects in parallel and be able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

    + In addition, this individual must be highly self-motivated, able to work independently in their area of expertise, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, must be an outstanding team player and possess excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    + The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support **structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules** using **liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry** .

    + The selected candidate should have familiarity **with liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry instrumentation,** and excellent sample preparation skills. Knowledge of laboratory automation is desired but not required.

    Experience:

    + 3 years of experience. The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support **structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules** using **liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry** .

    Skills:

    + **B.S or M.S.** in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other physical sciences.

    + Familiarity with **liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation** .

    + **Mass spectrometry data interpretation** .

    + Familiarity with **protein structure.**

    Education:

    + B **.S. or M.S.** in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other physical sciences is desired.
