The expected annual salary range for this role is $53253.0 - $78104.4 a year.

What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Aerospace division is seeking a **Quality Technician** in the Jackson, MI location.
Position Overview:
In this position, the Quality Technician will be responsible for leading the Jackson, MI plant in the development, compliance, maintenance, and improvement of the Eaton Aeroquip LLC. Jackson, MI calibration & gage recall system. This position ensures that the calibration & gage recall system is fully compliant to the AS9100 standard, Nadcap requirements, and customer PO requirements. Performs inspection, testing and verification of material, product, equipment, gaging and processes. Provides technical support to manufacturing operations, customers, suppliers, engineering, and Eaton Aerospace partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Quality champion and administrator of calibration & gage recall system and related processes including but not limited to quoting, purchasing, receipt, identification, calibration, maintenance, and vendor oversight on all internal and external IM&TE (Inspection, Measurement, & Test Equipment) within the site’s calibration & gage recall system.
• Ensures accuracy of data entry into gage recall system.
• Champions Lost Gage and Out of Tolerance gage reporting and mitigation.
• Provides training, subject matter expertise & support to manufacturing operations, customers, suppliers, engineering, and Eaton Aerospace partners on IM&TE, MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)/Gage R&R (Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility) and SPC (Statistical Process Control), including interpretation of results.
• Formulates and implements Quality Assurance Procedures, policies, and standards for IM&TE (Inspection, Measurement, & Test Equipment) as required. Ensures these documents align with the recognized Aerospace Quality System Standard as well as Eaton Objectives, Policies and Procedures.
• Supports organization with dimensional layouts and interpretation of results for production, Failure Analysis, qualification testing, DMR (Discrepant Material Report), NPD (New Program Development) projects, Root Cause Corrective Actions, and compliance to customer requirements (as required).
• Manages timeliness of project workflow and backlog to ensure OTD (On-Time Delivery).
• Manages timeliness of RCCAs (Root Cause Corrective Action) associated with calibration & gage recall system issues.
• Annually reviews outsides calibration service purchase orders and contracts for cost avoidance or cost savings.
• Annually submits Capital Acquisition Request (CAR) proposals for new or replacement IM&TE during Profit Planning.
• Serves as site champion and Self-Inspection Stamp Control Administrator. Ensures compliance to Self-Inspection Stamp Control process requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required
+ This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.
+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and requirements
Knowledge of assembly operations, gaging, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
Knowledge of ISO 100012, Quality Assurance Requirements for Measuring Equipment
Knowledge of CMM and user interface
Knowledge of quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and performing quality audits
Knowledge of APQP tools including MSA/Gauge R&R and SPC
Experience in vendor relations with verbal and written communication skills
Experience with UAW contract and following proper protocol
Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills
Experience working within diverse cultures & groups
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team
ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
Knowledge of Nadcap Special Processes including but not limited to Chemical Processing (CP), Welding (WLD), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Heat Treating (HT), Fluid Distribution Systems (FLU)
AMS 2750 Pyrometry knowledge including System Accuracy Tests (SAT) & Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS)
Knowledge of standard manufacturing process, machining, metal forming, assembly/test in an Aerospace environment.
Experience with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
Useable GD&T skills
Knowledge of CMM software
Useable skills with MS Office software
Experienced in using Gage Recall Software (i.e., GAGEtrak)
