Verde Investments, Inc. engages in the acquisition, development and long-term investment in real estate and commercial assets. The Company offers a small, professional office environment where individuals that can work independently but ask questions when needed will thrive.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the monthly accounting of assigned entities.

In long, our Senior Accountant is responsible for:

+ Record daily cash transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations

+ Prepare monthly billings for related entities and lessees

+ Assist with coding and review of accounts payable invoices

+ Prepare month end journal entries and maintain supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts

+ Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze trend reports for accuracy

+ Prepare and distribute annual 1099 NECs for multiple entities

+ Act as liaison between Verde Investments and offsite accountants or management companies at various owned real estate assets

+ Calculate and file monthly sales tax reports

The Specifics.

+ 3-5 years prior accounting experience

+ Proficient in various accounting systems

+ Strong Excel skills

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Experience with small business accounting preferred

+ Ability to work independently

+ Communication skills are essential

+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

+ Basic knowledge of business taxes (i.e sales, excise and income tax)

+ Ability to prioritize/re-prioritize multiple tasks
