    Regulatory Operations Senior Data Analyst - AVP

    Team/Function Overview:

    The Regulatory Operations group (Reg Ops) is a centralized unit within the Operations team, specializing in data-driven regulatory reporting, analysis, and quality assurance for swap dealer reporting. We ensure accurate and compliant reporting by implementing robust data controls, performing in-depth data analysis, and proactively mitigating data quality risks. Our responsibilities include:

     

    + Implementing new regulatory reporting initiatives and enhancements, focusing on data integrity and efficient data flows.

    + Managing data quality controls and exception management for swap dealer reports, leveraging data profiling and analysis techniques.

    + Contributing to industry-level advocacy efforts by providing data-driven insights to trade associations.

    + Partnering with Markets teams to remediate regulatory issues through data analysis and quality improvements.

    Role / Position Overview:

    As a Regulatory Operations Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory reporting data. Your focus will be on leveraging data analysis techniques to enhance data quality, identify and resolve data discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Overseeing the daily delivery of complete, accurate, and timely regulatory reporting data, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    + Managing and overseeing Business-As-Usual (BAU) processes for CFTC, SEC, and CAD Regulatory Reporting, with a strong emphasis on data quality and validation.

    + Monitoring daily reporting data controls, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to remediate data gaps.

    + Serving as a point of contact for North American regulations (CFTC, CAD, SEC), providing data-driven insights and expertise.

    + Ensuring Reg Ops procedures and controls adhere to Citi's Global Risk & Control and Global Regulatory Reporting policies, with a focus on data governance and quality.

    + Conducting in-depth data analysis on large datasets to identify root causes of complex data issues and implement corrective actions.

    + Collaborating with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk & Control, and business unit managers to ensure transparent, aligned objectives, and high-quality data throughout the reporting lifecycle.

    + Supporting responses to inquiries from regulators, compliance assurance, and internal audit by providing data-driven analysis and documentation.

    + Working with the global team lead and reporting peers to develop and execute a global book of work focused on new regulatory requirements, improved data quality, enhanced controls, and insightful data-driven metrics.

    + Driving process improvements by advocating for changes to existing processes that reduce manual touchpoints, enhance data quality, and increase efficiency and accuracy.

    + Creating, managing, and presenting project documents (business requirements, status updates, risk & control updates, issue/event summaries) with a focus on data-related aspects.

    + Representing Citi in major industry forums, monitoring publications from trade associations and regulators to ensure Citi's reporting data remains compliant with evolving regulations.

    Candidate Requirements:

    + Knowledge of at least one of the following regulatory reporting regimes: CFTC, and/or SEC Reporting.

    + 3+ years of financial services experience in regulatory reporting, capital markets middle office, or OTC derivative products, with a demonstrable focus on data analysis and quality.

    + Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in SQL, VBA (advanced Excel), and Python. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

    + Experience in collecting, defining, and documenting business and technology requirements, test plans, and other project management artifacts related to data management and reporting.

    + Experience in consulting with project stakeholders, including the ability to facilitate compromises and resolve conflicting requirements related to data.

    + Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, with strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in conveying data-driven insights.

    + Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards for data management and regulatory reporting, and experience in large-scale data implementations.

    + Experience in working across technology and business projects, managing inter-dependencies related to data flows and reporting processes.

    + Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions.

    + Proactive, resilient, and tenacious in pursuing data quality and accuracy.

    + Ability to create and deliver presentations to senior management, effectively communicating data-driven insights.

    + Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements, while maintaining data integrity and reporting accuracy.

    Education:

    + Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

    $70,080.00 - $105,120.00
