    ARS is seeking an entry-level Information Systems Security Analyst (ISSA) to support our security operations, identity management, and compliance posture in a hybrid Azure environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in IT support or systems administration and an interest in transitioning into cybersecurity. You will assist in managing access controls, monitoring systems for security events, and supporting compliance-related initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    + Monitor system and network activity for security events using built-in tools and logs across Windows, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365.

    + Administer and audit employee access in Active Directory and Entra ID to enforce least privilege and separation of duties.

    + Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure timely access provisioning and removal.

    + Assist with maintaining endpoint compliance via Intune, including security baselines, software updates, and mobile device management (MDM).

    + Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate reporting and compliance tasks.

    + Track and resolve user security issues through the ticketing system and collaboration tools.

    + Support incident response efforts and document findings as needed.

    + Assist in the implementation of security controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST 800-171 or CMMC.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + Must be a US citizen

    + 2-4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role.

    + Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune in a hybrid environment.

    + Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., identity and access management, endpoint protection, data loss prevention).

    + Experience with PowerShell scripting or willingness to learn.

    + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

    + Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

    + Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or AZ-900 are a plus.

    Work Environment:

    + Hybrid role with a mix of remote and on-site responsibilities.

    + Occasional after-hours work may be required for patching or security events.
