    What you will do:

    Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Classroom Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team. In this role, you'll provide a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports young children's growth and development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans

    + Conduct quarterly child assessments

    + Foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning

    + Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues

    + Lead and collaborate effectively with co-teachers

    + Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

    What you’ll need for this job:

    For Candidates Without an Associate's Degree:

    + Must qualify with a total of 30 general college credit hours AND 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6 or an equivalent Child Development Associate Certification (CDA).

    + Must have completed 15 certified hours of Gateways to Opportunity Continuing Education Units.

    + Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.

    + Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).

    + Food Handling certification.

    For Candidates with an Associate's Degree:

    + Must meet the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Early Childhood Education teacher requirements.

    + Must have 60 college credit hours (with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6).

    + Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.

    + Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).

    + Food Handling certification.

    Preferred:

    + Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

    **Pay Range:** $15.70 - $22.11 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
