    ROLE SUMMARY

    The Lead Financial Accounting Analyst - Part supports the Fixed Operations (Parts) business by maintaining responsibility for accounting transactions and processes as well as financial reporting, planning, and analysis. Works with key business stakeholders to provide decision and operational support. Summarizes and analyzes financial data to present meaningful business information supporting management decision-making and business and financial planning.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Performs monthly and quarterly closing work including journal entries, reviewing transactions, analysis, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) adjustments.

    + Prepares financial reports, presentations, and reconciliations for accounting, business, and customer stakeholders for financial and management decision support in compliance with accounting policies and audit controls.

    + Researches, analyzes, supports, and identifies solutions for resolution of issues in parts sales, purchases, inventory, vendor payments, and billing.

    + Provides financial subject matter knowledge and support for annual business planning and periodic financial projections and monitors financial performance against the plan.

    + Utilizes math and technical skills to perform detailed analysis of parts sales and expenses and shares business insights utilizing charts and graphs for visual understanding.

    + Utilizes information technology (IT) systems (such as enterprise resource planning [ERP] and OneStream) to improve process efficiencies and deliver meaningful insights into business performance, as well as adapt and build efficient reporting processes and relevant reporting. Documents procedures and trains other staff members on enterprise resource management (ERM) system processes.

    + Develops and implements solutions to accounting issues and process improvements.

    + Researches IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) pronouncements as required. Identifies and summarizes impacts to accounting policies and financials and presents these findings to Financial Reporting Manager and Accounting Directors.

    + Remains knowledgeable on business changes requirements and implementing required IFRS changes, process changes, and IT system changes, etc.

    + Executes the creation of new reports in OneStream for changing business strategies, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting.

    + Coordinates the facilitation of ad hoc projects to accommodate accounting reporting and forecasting requirements. Communicates accounting requirements and forecasting information to relevant stakeholders.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Works with Fixed Operations (Parts) Financial Analysis team, Purchasing and Planning team, distribution centers, ports, IT, vendors, customers, and Logistics team to support and optimize the financial efficiency of the supply chain.

    + Works with internal and external auditors to prepare audit requests as well as makes continuous improvements to internal controls to ensure compliance with JSOX and COSO Internal Control Framework.

    + Maintains, coordinates, and leads accounting workflows and projects to support evolutions of the Subaru of America (SOA) business.

    + Works collaboratively to build knowledge, identify and implement continuous improvements, and develop subject matter expertise.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    + Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the preparation of journal entries.

    + Attention to detail and ability to identify solutions to issues.

    + Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills, including ability to create reports and analysis from large amounts of data sourced from information technology (IT) systems.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.

    + Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees both within the Accounting Department and others within and outside of Subaru of America (SOA).

    + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

    + Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise performance management (EPM), and business intelligence (BI) systems.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    + Experience working with Oracle financial system software

    PROFESSIONAL LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

    + CPA preferred

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    + BA/BS Degree with 6 - 8 years of relevant experience or relevant years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days)

    + Internal Work Environment: Prolonged sitting at desk and computer.

    + Physical Demands: Occasionally lifts and moves computing equipment up to 20 lbs.

    + Travel Required: 0%

    COMPENSATION

    The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $83,800.00 - $100,000.00/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (Internal Job Grade: P3) In addition to competitive salary, Subaru offers an amazing benefits package that includes:
