    + **5-day work schedule**

    + Monday - Friday

    + Sunday - Thursday

    + Start time will be discussed during the interview.

    Position Summary:

    We value the safety of our associates! The Maintenance Technician keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs general electrical and/or repairs of various equipment on company premises. Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.

    Responsibilities:

    + Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair Trailers, Restraint Devices, Dock leveling ramps, Dock Doors.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.

    + Supervise & Train maintenance technicians as needed.

    + Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs- as necessary.

    + Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiencies.

    + Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.

    + Investigates electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.

    + Using the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – monitor inventory of materials & equipment & initiate purchase order for parts and machines, and create and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.

    + Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.

    + Coordinate with tradesmen/contractors on projects & specialized services.

    + Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

    + Work toward achieving an injury-free environment.

    + Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The employee will be required to perform tasks while atop a Scissor lift or Boom lift on occasion. Employees must not have a fear of heights. The employee will be required to gain access to the roof using a roof access ladder.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid and cold conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    + Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.

    + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

    • 1+ year maintenance and repair in a warehouse environment

    • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in areas Electrical Mechanical Diagnostics, Service and/or Repair.

    • 2+years preferred experience of electrical- mechanical- and hydraulic equipment i.e.: control panels- PLC's- conveyor shaft- motor and bearing replacement- etc. in a warehouse environment
