Job Description
Area Sales Manager
As the Area Sales Manager, you will lead and implement sales strategies across two Marriott-branded select-service hotels. This is a dynamic dual-property role focused on driving revenue growth, maximizing occupancy, and fostering strong community and client relationships.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for assigned market segments
Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities to meet revenue goals
Manage client accounts and maintain communication to ensure repeat business and referrals
Create and deliver compelling proposals, packages, and promotions aligned with Marriott brand standards
Analyze market trends and performance metrics to adjust strategies and maximize profitability
Coordinate sales efforts and service delivery with front office, operations, and other departments
Monitor progress of groups booked, including rooming lists and cut-off dates, to ensure high pick-up and guest satisfaction
Participate in local networking, trade shows, and community engagement to promote brand visibility
Use Marriott systems, reporting tools, and a Marriott-imaged remote laptop to support both properties effectively
About You:
3+ years of experience in hospitality sales, preferably with Marriott brand properties
Strong understanding of sales systems and tools such as CI/TY, FOSSE, Microsoft Office Suite, and other CRM platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving profitable revenue
Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
Self-motivated with strong planning, organization, and time management skills
Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for dual-property support
