• Infrastructure Engineer

    Job Description

    One of the largest aerospace companies is looking for an infrastructure engineer sitting five days onsite in El Segundo, CA.

    Position Responsibilities:

    - Work with Product Security, Software and IT engineers to execute the Infrastructure and Tools team scope of work

     

    - Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment

     

    - Works with the Infrastructure Manager to help transform the existing Test IT Infrastructure and Tools

     

    - Designs networks and complex IT Infrastructure, including redundancy and disaster recovery systems

     

    - Contributes to important initiatives to upgrade existing infrastructure and leads adoption of latest technologies which include virtualization and automation

     

    - Assists in implementing best practices to manage a network server room

     

    - Lead the team to develop engineering documentation and processes to reduce waste and maximize repeatability

     

    - Setup of infrastructure tools and environments such as Servers, Virtual Machine, Storage, Network/Firewall.

     

    - Champions Lab Excellence initiatives to continuously improve server room environment

     

    - Works in a hands-on lab environment with a variety of different types of test equipment

     

    Pay Range - $52-$55

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ or more years' related work experience

     

    - Experience managing large server and IT systems, both bare metal and virtual machines

     

    - Strong communication and coordination abilities - Holds a Security+ Certification

     

    - 10+ or more years' related work experience

     

    - Experience in Mix Unix/Linux and Windows, VMWare, NAS/SAN Storage environment

     

    - 5 or more years leading technical teams

     

    - An active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and current Tier 5 (T5). null
