Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join a defense contract at Wright-Patt AFB. This contract is the U.S. Air Forces open-architecture aerial node designed to deliver multi-level secure data to warfighters in near real-time. As a Network Engineer, the role involves bridging the network across hardware, software, and management layers, while ensuring compliance with defense security standards. Responsibilities include configuring and testing network components in lab environments, embedding cybersecurity into DevSecOps pipelines, and implementing software-defined networking for dynamic connectivity. The position also supports fielding efforts by translating lab configurations into flight-ready builds and maintaining operational monitoring tools. Overall, the role is critical in shaping the tactical and enterprise networking foundation for the next mission release. This position will be on-site in a SIL requiring a TS/SCI clearance.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors and 10 years of experience or 15 yrs direct exp designing, integrating, and securing DoD or IC mission critical IP networks.

Deep expertise in routing/switching (Layer 2/3), SATCOM backhaul, RF/mesh networking, and transport enclaves in contested or bandwidth limited environments.

Demonstrated experience with cross domain solutions, NSA Type 1 crypto, and multi level security architectures.

Hands on with network test/validation tools and scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform). CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent expert level certification.

Prior work on CJADC2, ABMS, OMS/UCI, tactical data links (Link 16/22, TTNT), or airborne networking programs.

Familiarity with containerized networking (CNI plugins, Service Mesh) and classified DevSecOps pipelines (Platform One, Iron Bank).

Experience shepherding RMF packages through eMASS to full ATO.

Agile/Scrum or SAFe certification. null
