Position Profile:
The Manager I, Operations provides leadership, training, and direction to ensure that all jobs are completed to company quality standards, meet client specifications, and are delivered on time and within budget. This role oversees personnel, equipment, and workflow, with a strong emphasis on graphic design operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supervise personnel and workflow to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
+ Manage production labor to meet established labor percentage goals.
+ Hold team members accountable for quality and efficiency.
+ Ensure client deadlines and contract requirements are met.
+ Oversee compliance with HR, financial, and safety regulations.
+ Monitor and support employee training and development.
+ Provide coaching, cross-training, and performance evaluations.
+ Promote a culture of safety and lead by example.
+ Hire, review, and retain qualified personnel.
+ Recognize employee achievements and foster motivation.
+ Maintain positive internal relationships and communication.
+ Complete reports and administrative tasks as required.
+ Manage financial performance, including P&L and forecasting.
+ Apply digital expertise to improve operations.
+ Strengthen collaboration between production and sales teams.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
+ 5–7 years of production experience.
+ Minimum 3 years of management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Proficient in standard business software and digital tools.
+ Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
+ Ability to motivate and mentor teams.
+ Solid business math and analytical skills.
+ Effective interpersonal and feedback skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
+ Office environment with standard lighting, noise, and temperature.
+ Requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Use of office and production equipment (e.g., scanners, copiers).
+ Must be available for extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must be able to manage high-stress situations and multitask effectively.
