Be part of our team. CHKD is seeking a professional and caring RN – Specialty Clinical Supervisor to facilitate health and healing for our patients and their amazing families. This role supports our Gastroenterology primary care practice located at 601 Children’s Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507 on the fourth floor of our Main Hospital.

Typical schedule is full-time, days.

Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00a – 4:30p and may be required to cover late afternoon on occasion.

This position will work the clinical floor alongside our nursing staff. In addition to the clinical responsibilities, the supervisor will have a range of administrative duties from prior authorization submission/management, point of care testing/training for the department, and clinical supply inventory to managing clinical staff schedules. Other administrative duties include assisting the practice manager with certain human resources functions such as in-service and training of staff.

An ideal candidate will possess:

+ Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.

+ Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing.

+ Technical and professional knowledge and skills for clinical operations of the service area, usually acquired through 3 - 5 years’ progressive Clinical/Supervisory experience in a practice setting.
