Summary:

As the Meat Cutter, you are responsible for properly cutting various kinds of meat for food service and retail sales and ensuring maximum use of product.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Properly grade product and assign to accounts.

+ Sanitize work area and equipment before and after cutting.

+ Survey all equipment to assure proper working order.

+ Handle product properly to ensure maximum shelf life.

+ Properly store excess product.

+ Finish all orders in a timely manner.

+ Inform supervisor of any changes or problems.

+ Follow USDA/HACCP guidelines.

+ Clean-up work station and department.

+ Communicate quality issues to supervisors and merchandising.

+ Weigh and tag product for order.

+ Help pack meat orders.

+ Able to fill out and complete USDA/HACCO forms daily.

+ Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

+ Able to portion control cutting with pork, lamb, beef and poultry
