The Workforce Development Council is seeking a Research Analyst Supervisor to plan, conduct and coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation the research and analysis program for the agency.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Confer with department staff and other departments to assess research needs
+ Identify appropriate areas of research, evaluate feasibility, and develop priorities
+ Submit research proposals to management for review and approval
+ Develop research methodologies including sampling techniques and selection
+ Develop tools for data collection
+ Establish methods and procedures to assure quality of data collected
+ Write instructions for completing survey instruments
+ Analyze information systems and make recommendations for change
+ Review and update data to determine statistical accuracy of data files and reports
+ Perform statistical analysis, interpret trends and results of studies, develop conclusions and summarize research results.
+ Provide direction for compilation and/or review research results in a format appropriate for various users.
+ Review and approve drafts
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Considerable knowledge of modeling and trend analysis and simulation techniques (Typically gained by completion of the core requirements of a degree in statistics, economics, mathematics or a closely related field AND at least 2 years of experience where modeling and trend analysis and/or simulation techniques were a primary responsibility of the job OR at least 4 years of experience where modeling and trend analysis and/or simulation techniques were primary responsibility of the job.)
+ Good knowledge of supervisory practices (Typically gained by completion of some college course work or training in supervisory methods OR at least 6 months of work experience that included work assignment, direction and monitoring staff.)
+ Experience planning and directing research and statistical projects and evaluating and presenting (orally and in writing) the results
+ Experience using and interpreting output of a statistical analysis software package
