Job Title: Security Communications Coordinator

General Function:

The Security Communications Coordinator comprehends and communicates security and emergency information via telephone, two-way radio, and various telecommunication methods. Makes immediate decisions and takes decisive action to preserve life and property.

Reporting Relationships:

Accountable and Reports to: Security Operations Center Manager

Direct Reports: None

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor and respond to security communications using telephone, two-way radio, and other telecommunications methods Monitor security events and identify potential incidents across the organization's environments Monitor multiple systems, alarms, and software, and execute prescribed action steps required in a dynamic environment Gather, analyze, correlate, or evaluate information and determine the proper response Compile information and effectively disseminate information quickly, correctly, and accurately Produce concise verbal and written analysis of findings to communicate potential risks and impact Understand and articulate security safeguards required to perform job responsibilities Safely navigate virtual environments to support assigned tasks, as applicable

Education and Experience:

+ Law enforcement, military, corrections, or loss prevention experience preferred.

+ Experience in dispatching or operating law enforcement, military, or EMS telecommunications.

Physical Requirements:

+ Visual requirements include: the ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.

+ Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: lifting no more than 25 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing no more than 10 pounds.

+ Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Working Conditions:

The duties for this position are normally conducted in an office environment and occasionally in distribution and retail locations. Travel is required as training programs are delivered throughout our trade territories.

This position requires a high level of confidentiality. The Security Communications Coordinator will have access to sensitive information related to security incidents, emergency response plans, personnel matters, and proprietary company operations. Unauthorized disclosure of such information could compromise the safety and security of individuals and property. Strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and company policies is required at all times.
