Amazon Pharmacy’s Senior Transportation Managers play a crucial role in exceeding expectations and providing a superb customer experience; critical to Amazon’s success, which is built on a foundation of customer obsession, and innovation. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution. The Senior Transportation Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the Pharmacy transportation network. You will lead a dynamic team of program managers to achieve efficient, speedy, and low cost transportation methods for the Amazon Pharmacy business.

Key job responsibilities
- Project manage launch of operations and new initiatives across the country.
- Cost, Quality and efficiency management of all the centers in the Country to achieve Operations Parameters/SLA.
- Analyze the market business dynamics, evaluate and build internal capabilities to constantly evolve strategies for growth and improve customer experience
- Communicating performance, articulating root-cause analysis and linking to specific improvement activities-Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plan.
- Use existing, design and execute innovative systems and processes for enhanced monitoring and control of resources and improved delivery of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Provide strategic direction and implement strategic-planning process into Project requirements and significantly improving customer satisfaction for smooth execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders such as Finance, Customer Satisfaction, Fulfillment Centers, S&OP and Projects team to matters related to new projects, operations and business deliverables.
- Manage the network planning, network design, network configuration in systems and routing planning
- The role requires working with internal and external business teams to develop and customize existing solutions that optimize our transportation network by improving the cost structure, service levels and quality of the operation. Having the ability to create models/ tools for profitability-analysis to measure and improve the cost structure by product group and program/service is a must.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 7+ years in project/program management or operations leadership experience
- Experienced in managing large teams, and process improvement initiatives in Logistics / supply chain.
- Experience in implementing formal process control and process improvement mechanisms.
- Ability to build strategy and execute it with speed and continuous improvement across the breadth and depth of the program
- Strong problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverables are essential
- Strong presentation and written communication skills are essential
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
