Description
The Senior Site Merchandising Manager leads the strategic direction and execution of the Zappos digital merchandising experience across web and mobile platforms. This role combines analytical expertise with retail knowledge to optimize the digital shopping journey and drive revenue growth through innovative merchandising strategies. The position manages a team of site merchandisers and collaborates across multiple departments to execute strategic initiatives to deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
Key job responsibilities
• Set strategic vision and lead execution of site merchandising strategies
• Build and manage high-performing team responsible for curated assortments, categories, product placement, and site taxonomy
• Drive revenue growth through merchandising optimization and funnel improvements
• Establish and maintain merchandising standards across digital touchpoints
• Partner with Analytics to measure and optimize performance metrics
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Tech, and Buying teams
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for site usability and conversion
• Balance customer experience optimization with business objectives
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in digital merchandising or ecommerce, with demonstrated leadership experience
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth through merchandising strategy
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Experience managing cross-functional projects
• Demonstrated expertise in site taxonomy and merchandising optimization
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong understanding of ecommerce metrics and KPIs
• Experience with merchandising automation tools
• Background in retail or footwear industry
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements
• Experience with customer journey analytics
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
• Deep understanding of conversion funnel optimization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $178,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
