Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Torrance, California. In this role, you will play an integral part in managing financial operations, including banking reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and retail operations reporting. You will collaborate with a team to oversee accounting processes across multiple regions within The Americas.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review store banking reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Generate detailed reports for retail operations and assist in analyzing financial data.

• Handle month-end journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.

• Collaborate with the banking team to manage accounting processes across multiple regions.

• Conduct inventory reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial transactions.

• Manage corporate tax processes, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Utilize Oracle software to support financial operations and reporting.

• Work effectively in a high-volume and fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail setting.

• Proficiency in Oracle software is essential.

• Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes and techniques.

• Experience with inventory reconciliation is highly desirable.

• Ability to handle corporate and sales tax-related tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with journal entries and general ledger management.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
