    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Turlock, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the agriculture industry by ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process a high volume of vendor invoices and statements daily, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Code invoices using the chart of accounts and organizational levels to ensure proper classification.

    • Route invoices to appropriate personnel for review and approval in a timely manner.

    • Prepare and execute vendor payments as authorized

    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts through research and communication.

    • Assist in creating and maintaining reports using Excel and other accounting tools.

    • Perform routine clerical tasks, such as typing, filing, and data entry, to support departmental operations.

    • Check and organize data for accuracy and compliance.

    • Participate in special projects and take on additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable processing.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with additional accounting software is advantageous.

    • Ability to maintain organized and accurate records while adhering to deadlines.

    • Skilled in analyzing data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing logical solutions.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and team members.

    • Capability to prioritize tasks and perform them efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
