Description We are looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Grafton, Wisconsin. This role is 100% onsite and offers an opportunity to play a critical part in managing material flow, inventory control, and purchasing coordination within a small manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on role, supporting multiple facets of operations while ensuring seamless processes and cost-effective sourcing.
Responsibilities:
• Generate and issue purchase orders while ensuring timely communication with vendors.
• Monitor incoming materials, confirm delivery schedules, and address any delays or incomplete shipments.
• Maintain and update vendor records, pricing details, and related documentation in the ERP system.
• Organize and prepare job travelers or work orders for the production team, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Oversee bills of materials (BOMs) and routing to ensure they are current and accurate.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain data integrity.
• Manage and optimize the use of Workwise ERP software, ensuring accurate data entry and functionality.
• Reconcile open orders, purchase orders, and sales orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with job costing and support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes.
• Provide administrative support, including filing, labeling, and document preparation, as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a combined ERP, inventory, or purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and data imports/exports.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably JobBoss or Aptean Workwise.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing inventory, cycle counts, and vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs) and production scheduling processes.
