OUR VALUES
At Team Tigard, we are the ambassadors of our municipal services to the members of our community. We aspire to treat all people with dignity, respect, and care; to demonstrate the equitable and sustainable practices that are environmentally and fiscally sound, and to engage with each other as trusted colleagues to achieve excellence in all we do. Examples of Duties
The City is hiring a Technical Training Coordinator (Limited Duration – 2 years) to help grow and enhance our internal IT training program. You won’t be starting from scratch, instead you’ll collaborate with an experienced trainer to build on our existing foundation. Together, you’ll identify knowledge gaps, expand training resources, and continuously improve how we support staff through new tools and changing technology.
Do you have a passion for making technology accessible to staff of all skill levels? We are looking for someone who excels at customer engagement, builds relationships across teams, and can quickly identify learning opportunities that can be used to empower staff to become confident, independent learners. This role requires a patient and empathetic communicator who can understand and translate a wide range of technical information in an easy-to-understand format.
We are looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, communication, embraces ambiguity, and fosters a positive, supportive learning environment where everyone feels encouraged to grow their skills. Whether it’s Microsoft 365, Windows 11, our ERP tool, or something brand new, you’ll develop clear, engaging learning materials, and deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions.
Seeking great communication skills, a curiosity for learning new technology, and a knack for connecting the dots between tools and the people who use them. This position is part of a team that provides 1:1 support while also contributing to broader training initiatives. Whether it's a quick tip or a deep dive, you help others feel capable, connected, and confident with every click.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, program or project management, public relations/affairs, or other field related to the assigned program(s); AND
+ Two (2) years of experience in planning, development, implementation and/or administration of programs, projects, or systems, preferably in a government setting.
