Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and supporting audit preparation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently to ensure timely payments.

• Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing relevant financial documents.

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and cash reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy.

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial data.

• Assist with accruals and other month-end closing activities.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.

• Work within Dynamics NAV to manage and track accounts payable activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve payment processes.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with Dynamics NAV or similar accounting software.

• Strong understanding of financial processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Ability to handle a high volume of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience supporting audit preparation and working with auditors.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
