    Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Long Beach, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to manage payroll operations with a focus on prevailing wage compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, certified payroll reporting, and prevailing wage regulations, while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    • Verify and reconcile employee timecards, wages, and deductions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

    • Oversee prevailing wage compliance, including adherence to federal, state, and local regulations such as the Davis-Bacon Act.

    • Prepare certified payroll reports for submission to clients or regulatory agencies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, pay rates, and job classifications, in accordance with applicable laws.

    • Support audits and inspections related to payroll and prevailing wage compliance, providing accurate responses to inquiries.

    • Utilize payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, and Workday to ensure efficient processing.

    • Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project teams to address payroll-related matters and improve workflows.

    • Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and provide timely resolution to employee concerns.

    • Stay informed about changes to payroll and prevailing wage laws, sharing updates with relevant stakeholders. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, with expertise in prevailing wage compliance.

    • Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and state-specific regulations.

    • Proficiency with payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Paylocity, and Workday.

    • Familiarity with certified payroll reporting processes, including Form WH-347.

    • Solid understanding of state and federal tax regulations, labor laws, and wage compliance standards.

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

    • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.

    • Certified Payroll designation or equivalent credential is preferred.
