    Robert Half Accountemps (Anaheim, CA)


    Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for a portfolio of residential rental properties. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in property accounting and expertise in QuickBooks Desktop. As a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, this role offers the potential for long-term growth within the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate financial records for approximately 100 residential rental properties.

    • Handle full-cycle accounts payable, including coding and processing bills for each property.

    • Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy.

    • Manage property-specific financial tasks, such as operating statements, mortgage payments, and insurance premiums.

    • Perform manual check runs as needed for tenant rent payments.

    • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to oversee the general ledger, record journal entries, and generate financial reports.

    • Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and internal teams using Zoho systems.

    • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance in accounting practices.

    • Coordinate expenses for out-of-state properties, ensuring proper vendor billing and payment tracking.

    • Stay updated on rental property accounting practices, including escrow accounting, income tracking, and expense allocation. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management or real estate.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential.

    • Familiarity with rental property accounting, including mortgage and insurance tracking.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

    • Ability to effectively manage time and oversee multiple properties and accounts simultaneously.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    • Experience with Zoho or similar systems is a plus.

    • Knowledge of tenant ledger reconciliation and rent collection processes is preferred.
