Description

We’re seeking a meticulous and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute to the quality assurance of internally developed software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual software testing, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver superior results.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and execute detailed test scripts to evaluate software functionality and performance.

+ Perform comprehensive testing of applications, services, and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.

+ Detect, document, and monitor software defects using an issue management platform.

+ Work closely with development and testing teams to address issues and improve application quality.

+ Analyze test outcomes and offer actionable feedback to optimize the software development lifecycle.

+ Ensure all testing activities are aligned with project schedules and milestones.

+ Collaborate in team discussions to refine and enhance testing strategies and approaches.

+ Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, integrating them into the testing process.

Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in manual software testing and IT analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and address software issues.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Familiarity with defect logging and tracking tools.

• Experience in the financial industry or local government applications is a plus.

• Knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting is desirable.
