Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage and resolve customer invoice deductions while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payment processing that will join our client's team in the Cordova, TN area. This role focuses on minimizing unresolved balances, recovering invalid deductions, and identifying trends to prevent future discrepancies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve optimal results.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve customer invoice deductions by analyzing internal documentation, carrier information, and customer claims.

• Manage collections activities to reduce the aging of open receivables, including disputed deductions.

• Collaborate with sales, customer service, logistics, and other departments to address discrepancies and clarify issues.

• Execute proper clearance methods for validated deductions to maintain customer account accuracy.

• Track deduction trends and research root causes to implement preventive measures and improve processes.

• Maintain accurate records in the deduction database and update systems with detailed information on open deductions.

• Prepare detailed reports to monitor deduction balances, categorize issues, and provide updates to management.

• Participate in team initiatives, including cross-training, coverage for team members, and process improvement activities.

• Support continuous improvement efforts by analyzing workflows and recommending enhancements.

• Assist in special projects or tasks as directed by management to support the deduction resolution function.

Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in deduction resolution, accounts receivable, or collections.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong analytical skills to assess the validity of customer claims and resolve discrepancies.

• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for accurate documentation and tracking.

• Effective negotiation skills to recover invalid deductions from customers.

• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple system applications.

• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
