Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Parsippany, New Jersey. As a key member of the Supply Chain Finance department, you will play a vital role in analyzing financial data, supporting decision-making, and driving efficiency across various aspects of supply chain operations. This is a long-term contract position, offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global organization, and providing backup support to their group while they undergo an SAP upgrade.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams across operations, procurement, and logistics to evaluate financial impacts of supply chain strategies.

• Provide detailed analysis of warehouse costs, including labor, utilities, and overhead expenses, while recommending cost-saving initiatives.

• Monitor inventory valuation and turnover trends, developing forecasting models to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.

• Assess transportation and distribution expenses, identifying opportunities to streamline logistics and enhance profitability.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports summarizing metrics related to inventory, logistics, and warehouse performance.

• Present actionable insights to senior leadership, driving informed decisions that align with business goals.

• Propose improvements to financial data systems and processes to enhance tracking and reporting efficiency.

• Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of financial systems in supply chain operations.

• Support vendor negotiations by analyzing freight and shipping cost trends, contributing to cost optimization.

• Identify risks and opportunities within supply chain finance initiatives to maximize operational effectiveness

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

+ At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or operations finance.

+ Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including advanced Excel and business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI.

+ Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.

+ Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.

+ Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

+ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment while managing multiple priorities.

+ Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis techniques.

+ Recent experience working in SAP is strongly preferred
