Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Cooper City, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and monthly reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy, as you will play a key role in ensuring financial data is properly maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily balancing of Shared Branch transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Reconcile various accounts, ensuring all general ledger accounts are up-to-date and pending items are resolved within allowable timeframes.

• Handle monthly investment entries and reconcile them to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Serve as a backup for Fed-line accounting tasks and assist with daily Fed-line functions.

• Balance and reconcile charged-off share accounts to maintain proper account management.

• Carry out daily reconciliation of credit card transactions and assist with month-end closing processes.

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts related to organizational transactions daily.

• Perform regular balancing of share draft suspense accounts to ensure proper allocation.

• Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, and other relevant regulations.

• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with compliance requirements and industry standards. Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to process invoices efficiently and accurately.

• Knowledge of account balancing and reconciliation practices.

• Familiarity with creating and analyzing balance sheets.

• Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation.

• Understanding of compliance standards including the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
