    Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

    What you will be doing

     

    + Operating a railcar mover -We provide training and certification!

    + Responsible for spotting railcars on the correct track; moving empty railcars and building the outbound train.

    + Performing inbound and outbound Inspection of rail cars

    + Sampling and unloading non-petroleum oils from rail cars utilizing pumps and onsite equipment.

    + Cross-training and assisting with the different functions performed at the facility.

    + Participating in and promoting the Savage safety program

     

    Requirements of a Successful Operator

     

    + Perform basic maintenance on unloading equipment (filter changes, etc)

    + Basic computer skills

    + Attend and pass all training associated with job-related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat, and FRA-related courses.

    + Willingness to wear required PPE.

    + Ability to work Holidays as required.

    + Clear drug / alcohol test / criminal background check

    + Experience in the Rail Industry and/or truck loading/unloading is a plus.

    + Work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + A high school diploma or equivalent work experience

    + For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.

    • Here are some of the physical requirements of this role

    + Work outdoors in all weather conditions

    + Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required for safety.

    + Respirators may be required due to the nature of our work; therefore, a clean-shaven face is required to ensure proper fit and use of safety equipment Comfortable with heights up to 20 feet

    + Walk 5+ miles per day on rail ballast or similar terrain.
