Come and talk to us about a different experience.Checkout why we are a different experience (https://youtu.be/Qh-OFdjKN8U) Specific Job Details: Starting Fall 2025Biddeford High School is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Ed Tech III to serve as a Restorative Liaison and support the daily operations of our Restorative Room (RR). This dedicated professional will play a vital role in helping students regulate, reflect, and reintegrate into the academic setting, while fostering social-emotional growth, personal accountability, and community connection.
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Restorative Justice practices, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and trauma-informed approaches, with an emphasis on setting clear boundaries and promoting accountability through reflective and restorative strategies.
Brief Job Duties:The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
+ Daily Oversight of the Restorative Room:
+ Welcome, monitor, and support students sent to the Restorative Room during the school day.
+ Facilitate student reflection using restorative intake sheets, behavior assessment tools (i.e., red/yellow/green scale), and calming strategies.
+ Review and utilize our Multi Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Framework.
+ Coordinate restorative and reflective practices tailored to the needs of each student (e.g., re-entry plans, back-on-track plans, ISS activities, academic checklists).
+ Maintain a calm, structured environment conducive to regulation, learning readiness, and positive behavior change.
+ Restorative Justice Liaison Duties:
+ Collaborate with classroom teachers to support Tier 1 restorative strategies.
+ Facilitate or co-facilitate restorative conversations and mediations between students and staff or peers as appropriate.
+ Support and implement individualized Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions as recommended by the Student Support Team (SST).
+ Data & Communication:
+ Track student attendance, interventions, and outcomes using the shared RR spreadsheet.
+ Communicate promptly with teaching staff and administration when students are referred to the RR or fail to arrive.
+ Collaboration with Support Services:
+ Coordinate with members of the student support team, including social workers, the resiliency coordinator, and curriculum/student support coordinator, as they rotate through the room on a weekly basis.
+ Partner with administration to address disciplinary situations in alignment with BHS behavior rubric and restorative philosophy.
+ Student Support:
+ Provide emotional de-escalation, positive behavior reinforcement, and individualized coaching to help students restore readiness for learning.
+ Support students reintegrating after out-of-school suspensions, extended absences, or emotional/behavioral episodes.
+ Help students understand the impact of their choices and guide them toward restorative and responsible behaviors.Full Job Description (https://www.biddefordschools.me/page/job-descriptions-district)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Valid Maine Ed Tech III Authorization from the Department of Education.
+ Experience working in a public school or behavioral support setting.

+ Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
+ Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
