Description We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia, on a Long-term Contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, and enhancement of software systems and tools, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. This position offers an opportunity to work on moderately complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and debug software programs for new systems and product enhancements.
• Conduct thorough analysis of software requirements and ensure compatibility with hardware systems.
• Develop and maintain tools that support infrastructure and platform functionality.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to address technical issues and propose solutions.
• Apply industry principles, standards, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to systems.
• Document processes, procedures, and solutions to ensure clarity and effective communication.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and address any operational issues.
• Assist in the selection of components and implementation strategies for software projects.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on technical procedures and best practices. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, standards, and development processes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and HIPAA-regulated environments.
• Ability to utilize monitoring tools and analyze system performance.
• Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Experience with component selection and integration for software projects.
