Description

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Attorney to join our top client in San Diego, California! This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and expertise in drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional written advocacy skills and a collaborative mindset to support case strategies and client outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise litigation documents, including motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

• Conduct thorough legal research and create persuasive briefs and motions.

• Prepare for and participate in trial phases, including strategy development, exhibit preparation, and witness coordination.

• Participate in depositions, including witness preparation and cross-examination planning.

• Manage discovery processes, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.

• Analyze case files to evaluate legal options and recommend strategic courses of action.

• Assist in planning for litigation outcomes such as settlement, mediation, or trial.

• Represent clients at court hearings, status conferences, and settlement discussions.

• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and court requirements.

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to refine case strategies and enhance client communication.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in California courts.

• Strong skills in written advocacy, including drafting motions and briefs.

• Excellent legal research and analytical capabilities.
