Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Westmont, Illinois. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a vital part in managing the company's financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with tax documentation and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely disbursement of payments.

• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms, and assist with 1099 preparation to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Handle accounts receivable functions, including verifying contract details, calculating adjustments, and monitoring overdue accounts.

• Manage aging accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and healthy cash flow.

• Prepare and reconcile financial records, including bank transactions, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Collaborate with vendors and customers to address payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Process payments through various methods, such as checks, wire transfers, and internal systems.

• Utilize accounting software and tools, including SAP and Microsoft Excel, to streamline financial operations.

• Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation as needed.

• Uphold company policies and regulatory standards in all financial activities.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of tax documentation requirements, including W-9s and 1099s.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle competing priorities.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial processes and reporting.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and customers.

• Proven ability to reconcile accounts and manage financial discrepancies.

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping practices.
