Description
A busy company in the Morristown area is seeking an Associate Engineer to join their organization. This Associate Engineer will get the chance to join a growing team that offers a flexible working schedule, career advancement, and the opportunity to work under an experienced Engineer. The ideal Associate Engineer will have 0-2 years of relevant experience and a completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or something relevant. This Associate Engineer position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their skills in the engineering field. Other responsibilities of this Associate Engineer will include but not be limited to:
Associate Engineer Responsibilities:
+ Maintenance & Operations: Assist with managing repairs, maintenance schedules, cost tracking, and regulatory compliance across big fleets.
+ Regulatory & Industry Involvement: Monitor AAR regulations, participate in industry groups, and support compliance efforts.
+ Optimization & Strategy: Help develop strategies for lease renewals, car repositioning, and asset performance improvements.
+ Field Work: Conduct railcar inspections and coordinate with repair shops across North America; occasional travel required.
+ Financial Analysis: Analyze maintenance costs, prepare performance reports, and plan railcar lease transitions.
+ Risk Management: Evaluate risks related to maintenance, service reliability, and market conditions; support mitigation efforts.
+ Client Interaction: Work with clients and lessees to resolve issues and provide support.
+ Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (sales, finance, legal) on asset management, purchases, repairs, and regulatory issues.
This Associate Engineer role is paying between $55,000 and $65,000 annually depending on experience. If interested in this Associate Engineer position apply today!
Requirements
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or a related field)
+ Excellent system skills (will train on the software used)
+ Strong design and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
+ Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions
